Job Description

Digital Content Manager Coventry, Warwickshire£30k to £35k depending on experience + BenefitsWe are currently looking to recruit a Digital Content Manager to join our marketing team, based at our head office in Coventry. We are one of the market leading home safety product manufacturers across the UK. Reporting directly to our Head of Marketing, we are seeking a reliable individual with ‘hands on’ experience of good digital content writing and creativity skills skills to assist our in-house creative department with both promotional and technical copy.Job purposeThe Digital Content Manager will be responsible for the planning and creation of compelling and engaging content, across various channels including our website, social media, blogs, editorial and newsfeeds.As the Digital Content Manager your duties include:

  • Working collaboratively with the wider marketing team to create and publish compelling content that supports the business’s short- and long-term priorities.
  • Copywriting, proofing, and repurposing content for varied mediums including editorial, social media, blogs, and website.
  • Constructing a content marketing calendar to ensure consistent messaging throughout the year with clear reviews of success and outcomes to the wider business.
  • Utilising SEO and keyword research tools (Ahrefs etc) to ensure content created supports wider website/digital goals.
  • Ensuring brand consistency across our partners and customers websites, including Amazon, and other major retailers including B&Q, Screwfix, Toolstation, Tesco, Homebase, Wickes etc (most national retailers)
  • Management and development of our online communities. To create such as ‘installers’ and ‘social housing providers’ etc
  • Collaborating with external resources i.e. external PR companies, magazine partners etc
  • to create highly specialised and targeted content which you will then tailor to wider audiences and channels.
  • Analysing and reporting on our website’s performance (google analytics) recommendations for improvement, and driving these changes through.
  • Keeping up to date with industry and business development and driving this insight in to new or revitalised content.
  • Skills & experience you’ll need to apply:
  • A ‘doer’, hands on experience is key!
  • Strong knowledge of digital content marketing and the impacts commercially.
  • A portfolio of both long and short format editorial content. (will be asked to provide examples at interview stage).
  • Excellent writing skills, including perfect spelling and grammar.
  • A good knowledge of SEO & discoverability best practises.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data and optimise accordingly.
  • Strong teamwork skills, a work ethic and a positive mentality.
  • Experience with Wordpress, good Google Analytics, Ahrefs (or similar) and all major social media platforms.
  • You will need to be methodical, meticulous, organised and be comfortable with managing multiple projects at once whilst delivering timely results.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Salary is £30-£35k, DOE
  • Pension client contribution 4%, employee 5% minimum
