Job Description

I am recruiting on behalf of a large engineering company based in Coventry. This is a full-time permanent opportunity and will be working in a production environment with precision component manufactured from iron castings. The role offers a salary of up£45,000 depending on experience.As a CNC Setter, you will play a crucial role in the production process by ensuring the efficient and accurate operation of CNC machines. Your responsibilities will include setting up the machines, programming them based on technical specifications, andconducting routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.Duties:

  • Install and set up CNC machines based on job specifications, including loading materials, tools, and programs.
  • Conduct tool changes, offsets, and adjustments to ensure the proper functioning of the equipment.
  • Verify the accuracy of machine settings to meet product specifications.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders to program CNC machines.
  • Input program codes and make necessary adjustments to optimize machine performance.
  • Troubleshoot and debug programs to resolve issues.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a CNC Setter or similar role.
  • Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong understanding of CNC programming and machine operation.
  • Knowledge of materials, tooling, and machining processes.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues.
  • Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Hours: Monday - Thursday 7.30am- 4.:30pm, Friday 07:30am- 12:30pmLocation: CoventrySalary: £35,000 - £45,000 depending on experienceIf you are interested please click APPLY!
