Job title: Catering AssistantLocation: CoventrySalary: £22,500 per annumWorking hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per weekHere within our Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract at Coventry, we focus on assisting individuals through the asylum system - ensuring that vulnerable asylum seekers have access to the support they need along with suitable accommodation.As our new Catering Assistant youll play an important role in this as you help to deliver catering services to residents on site.Working alongside the catering manager and our friendly team youll do this by preparing and cooking varied and healthy meals that consider specific dietary requirements, whilst also ensuring we comply with health, safety and food regulations. Youll alsomake sure that the security and safety of all foodstuffs is maintained during delivery, storage and distributionand that work areas are kept clean and hygienic.And whilst youre here preparing food for some of the most vulnerable people in society, well be supporting you. As well as all the initial training and accreditation you need to get going, youll find work that works for you in a values driven organisation.All uniform is provided.What you need to do the roleAs well as good interpersonal, teamwork, problem solving, and communications skills, youll need to have English and Maths qualifications up to level 2/GCSE.
