Job Description

Role: Call HandlerRate: £10.42 plus holiday payDuration: Minimum of 6 monthsLocation: Coventry - Office basedSellick Partnership are currently recruiting for several Call Handler posts for our Public Sector organisation based in Coventry.Our client is providing a centralised telephone-based repeat prescription ordering service on behalf of GP practices. The successful candidates will be working with various member practices requiring extra support to deliver efficient repeat prescribingprocesses to help reduce prescribing waste and deliver better quality to patients and the GP Practice.Principal Duties for the Call Handler:

  • Using a call centre-based telephone system and taking requests for repeat prescriptions from patients from various GP Practices
  • Producing repeat prescriptions
  • Ensure that GPs have access to electronic or paper prescriptions for signing within an appropriate timescale
  • Ensure that patients are not over ordering prescription items
  • Ensure that patients are only ordering items that they require at that time and informing of any items that they are no longer taking to ensure that patient safety is paramount
Person Specification:
  • GCSE C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a customer service based working environment
  • Strong administration skills
  • The ability to respond efficiently to a demanding role with constant pressure from telephone calls whilst maintaining accuracy and ability to follow up all queries in a timely manner
