Job Description

CAD/CAM ProgrammerMetalis are working with a leading manufacturing company based in Coventry who are seeking a skilled CAD/CAM Programmer to join their team. Our client has established a reputation for highly skilled manufacturing.As a CAD/CAM Programmer you will be responsible for creating and modifying CNC Programmes using EdgeCAM software to produce high-quality components and products. The ideal candidate will have experience in Programming, Setting & Operating CNC machines andbe able to work independently as well as part of a team.Job Duties:

  • Create and modify CNC programmes using EdgeCAM software.
  • Programme, Set and Operate CNC machines to produce components from various metals.
  • Review and analyse technical drawings, models, and specifications to ensure accurate programming and machining.
  • Troubleshoot and solve programming and machining issues as they arise.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to identify areas for process improvement and optimization.
  • Maintain and update programming and machining documentation as needed.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with company quality standards and safety protocols.
Job Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in Programming, Setting and Operating CNC machines.
  • Proficient in EdgeCAM or a similar CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, models, and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Salary & Hours:
  • Salary: £18-£19 per hour (Dependant on experience)
  • Contracted hours: 07:30am - 16.30pm Monday - Thursday, 07:30am - 12:30pm Friday
  • Position Type: Permanent, Full-time
