Job Description

The Graco groupof companies has revenues of $1.5BN and 3,600 staff worldwide. Geotech are global leaders in the design and manufacture of gas analysis technology.About the role:The Business Development Manager will be the pivotal point in developing strategies that will drive new business in new sectors and countries. Key responsibilities are to lead the new market growth efforts including identifying target markets and developingbusiness plans for potential opportunities. Primary focus is on executing organic growth initiatives in market spaces beyond our current presence.You will also work closely with the product management team to identify and develop new product development and industry specific solutions and successfully bring them to market. This position is responsible to providing the front-end marketing research tosupport our product development team and maintain a strong market presence for QED Environmental while achieving profitability and performance standardsThe position reports to the Sales Director for EMEA / APACBusiness travel will be required throughout EMEA / APAC.The Territory Manager is expected to act in the companys best interest at all times.Main Functions /Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of a strategic new business sales plan to ensure growth opportunities.
  • Identifying new prospect opportunities and initialising contact to build a solid portfolio.
  • Preparing and presenting new business presentations.
  • Taking client briefs and communication clearly to the internal team to produce a creative development process.
  • Organisation and management of Tenders.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships to identify, qualify and close high quality sales opportunities.
  • Protection and improvement of EBITDA margins against growth targets.
  • Effectively utilise Salesforce to manage daily activity, create quotations and track success.
  • Quality driven sales focus to upsell with ROI and value add.
  • Solutions selling mind set.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to ensure customer satisfaction at all levels.
  • Fully utilise available resources to maximise opportunity success.
  • Monitor and analyse market and business trends to identify additional revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain full record of competitors for all markets sectors.
  • Evaluate market trends to determine new innovation, margins and supply/demand factors.
  • Identify and solve customer/partner issues.
  • Prepare accurate sales reports to the senior management.
Position Requirements:
  • Proven track record of successful new business sales delivery, with at least 5 years experience.
  • Strong background in new business development and account management.
  • Previous experience of the environmental technical sector would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Client focus with commercial acumen.
  • Experience in commercial and product change management.
  • Direct and Indirect sales relationship management experience; Distribution, Trade and End User.
  • Effective presentation, negotiation skills including customer contracts
  • Strong relationship builder.
