Job Description

Job Title: Operations AnalystLocation: Coventry and Hams Hall / HybridRate: £27.89ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or £21.27ph PAYEEmployment Type: Contract (Intially 7/8 Months)Hours: Standard 40 Hours Per WeekDescription:Every minute of every day, thousands of parts, and materials from all over the world are shipped and delivered to our plants, ready to be used on our production lines within hours. At the same time, hundreds of customers from across the globe are handedthe keys to their newly transported vehicles. A feat like this does not just happen. Playing a part in this momentous undertaking are our Imports and Exports Operations (IEO) Team, supporting in the movements of parts internationally to maintain our productionfacilities.The IEO function interacts with most areas of our client including Product Engineering, Purchasing,Manufacturing, Aftermarket, and controls and manages the Global Sourcing of parts from right shoring markets such as China and India bringing production parts into all our manufacturing plants and moving parts to our non-European based Production Centres.The Operations Analyst will join a small, highly skilled team of SMEs within the IEO Function. The candidates expertise and knowledge will help support success across current operations and customer base through to large scale transformation projects suchas the implementation of our new Imports and Exports facility supporting the delivery of significant cost benefit to the business. The Operations Analyst will play a significant part and help shaping the IEO approach towards CI using the tools and approachesalready in place within our clients operation and also bringing knowledge and experience of how to develop a modern International Logistics Operating Centre.Personal Profile Essential:

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Support, development and implementation of IEO’s continuous improvement processes within the Import Operational Facility.
  • Support process flow initiatives within our 3PL service provider seeking and advising on CI Opportunities.
  • Identify and support the introduction of CI opportunities tacking to closure and capturing cost submissions and CPU benefits.
  • Attend weekly and monthly reviews as required providing feedback on current and future projects.
  • Undertake any other work in connection with their job as directed by their line manager.

Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceEssential:
  • Experience of co-ordinating continuous improvement projects.
  • An experienced Warehouse Leader that understands the functions needed within a modern Automotive Environment.
  • Commercially astute and able to capture and demonstrate continuous improvement activity in £’s and CPU.
  • Evidence of strong teamwork skills, resilience, ability to drive success from ambiguity, and to act as a change agent.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with Key Stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance within the 3PL structure.
  • Ability to deep dive complex issues and adopt problem resolution techniques in high pressure environments.
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of the Automotive Industry.
  • Experience of using SAP.
  • Experience of embedding innovative CI solutions to increase business efficiency.
  • Relevant Programme Management qualifications (PMI, Prince, MSP, Agile, etc.).
  • Previous work experience for a large International Logistics Supplier OR Blue-chip Organisation in a CI environment.
Additional Information:2 days in the office, 3 days at home - Subject to change dependant on business needsThis role is INSIDE IR35
