Job Description

Harnham are currently partnered with a client who are looking for an experienced Ruby / Ruby on Rails Backend Developer to a project team on a long term contract in based central London - The team is all currently working remotely / from home until at least mid-2021.The successful Backend Developer will work closely with a team of exceptional rails developers to push forward technical architecture and implementation and build fast scalable APIs with Ruby / RoR.Experience required

  • Excellent background of Backend Development using Ruby & Ruby on Rails - using common libraries RSpec, Minitest, Grape ETC.
  • Solid experience with Object Oriented Programming / OOP and a passion for writing clean reusable code.
  • Good experience of TDD & CI/CD
  • Monolith and Microservice development
  • Good experience of PostgreSQL, Redis, JSON, Web Token
  • Solid experience of design Principals & scalable application development.
    • This role is a contract position and we are looking for engineers who are available before the start of January, there are immediate starts available.
