Job Description

Shipping SpecialistPermanent positionGlobal engineering & manufacturing company£35k - £40kAre you an experienced Shipping Specialist Do you have experience working in a engineering/manufacturing environment If so, our client is a leading manufacturing business who specialise in delivering electro mechanical components are looking for ShippingSpecialist to be a key team member.Key Responsibilities:Job Description

  • Invoice generation and administration
  • Ensure all deliveries are made in line with customer and company requirements
  • Liaise with freight agents and confirm shipping details.
  • Liaise with relevant departments to co-ordinate packing and shipments.
  • Act as contact for customer and internal queries relating to shipping or status enquiries.
  • Assist in key project work to improve work practices/streamline processes and cost reductions.
  • Completing shipping certificates / documentation and detailed shipment records.
  • Revenue recognition updates on invoiced sales orders.
  • Signing off freight / packing invoices - querying any incorrect invoices.
  • Controlling all imports into the UK by providing customs clearance instructions to the necessary clearance agent within a small time frame to minimise storage costs.
  • Arranging the despatch, paperwork and collection of all UK hire/demos and exhibitions.
RequirementsEssential
  • Knowledge of shipping procedures (export and import) for all methods of transport to worldwide destinations.
  • Good working knowledge of legislation.
  • Knowledge of HTS codes, Incoterms.
  • Good ability in using Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage own workload and drive results
  • Open to change and driving process improvements
  • Good communication skills
