Electrical Fitter (Crane Maintenance)SF 32999Location Faslane, HelensburghBusiness Unit - ClydeSalary £31,164About the RoleWe currently have an opportunity for an Electrical Fitter (Cranes Maintenance) to carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on EHJ systems and equipment. Main responsibilities include:

Completion of all planned preventative maintenance to ensure the department meets the objectives of the business.

Completion of all defect and repair activity to ensure the department meets the objectives of the business.

Ensure that work is carried out in line with current processes and make suggestions on improving systems and processes to increase productivity and safety in accordance with set objectives and timescales.

Work within all H&S legislation, Safe Systems Of Work and control of work processes within Clyde policies.

Operate EHJ systems and equipment in accordance with relevant procedures.

Undertake Facility Control Room Watchkeeping and associated duties as instructed.

Undertake mentoring for all personnel in the operation & maintenance of EHJ systems and equipment

Perform any reasonable task within your existing skills and capability, as directed.

What do I need to do the role

Previous experience gained within an electrical fitter maintenance role.

Recognised Electrical Engineering apprenticeship, qualified to SVQ level 3 as a minimum.

Previous experience of electrical maintenance of cranes, PLC crane controls and/or fire alarms would be an advantage.

Must be comfortable working at heights and in inclement weather conditions.

Experience of working within a Health & Safety-focussed environment.

Well-developed team working (strong team ethic) and interpersonal skills.

A focus on delivering high quality workmanship to agreed timescales

Enjoy working in a complex and challenging environment.

What else do I need to know

You should hold or have the ability to obtain full SC clearance.

Overtime and night shift opportunities.
