Job Description

Maintenance TechnicianYour roleYou will be responsible forperforming a variety of technical tasks to maintain various systems and constructions including the maintenance of pumping, weighing, air conditioning and testing equipment across a pharma and cGMP site for manufacturing asepticallyprepared medicines.Your Duties & responsibilities

  • Take part in a working week rota based on 0830-1700 days including a minimum of 1 Saturday per month and on call.
  • Attend training and refreshers pertinent to role and skills.
  • Inspecting buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
  • Repairing faulty equipment units to known standards of work.
  • Developing and implementing preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Managing heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.
  • Planning and scheduling repairs.
  • Conducting periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
  • Performing general maintenance tasks.
  • Helping develop and implement the budget for the maintenance department.
  • Maintaining the inventory records for equipment and supplies.
The skills & attributes you will bring
  • Understand the need to work to safe systems and proficient in use of LOTO systems and practise safe methods of work.
  • Relevant NVQ L2 or above.
  • Experience in GMP / Pharma environments advantageous
  • Experience performing running test and diagnostics
  • Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance, or a relevant field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical system fault finding.
  • Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be well-organized and can prioritise tasks.
  • Previous experience of CMMS (eMaint or similar) is advantageous.
  • Previous experience of working in clean room environments preferable.

  • 29 days of holiday per annum (including bank holidays)
  • Company bonus scheme profit related and paid quarterly as a % of quarterly salary (post probation, non-contractual, subject to eligibility)
  • Pension - you will be auto enrolled after 3 months of employment at 5%. You can opt to contribute 6%, to which the employer will contribute 8%
  • Life assurance at 8 times your salary with a max of £200,000
