My client is seeking a Head of Solution Architecture to be based in Corsham.Head of Solution Architecture - Contract - Wiltshire / with Remote Working. £700-800 per day.Excellent contract requirement for a Head of Solution Architecture to join a global consultancy.The Key Responsibilities of a Head of Solution Architecture:General:* Deputy Director level, contribution to leadership team* Experienced in Leading/Managing multi-faceted IT services solution architecture/design (including processes and governance)* Has preferably worked directly for Central government, or in a role directly with central Government, non-Government experience also a plus* Portfolio Governance* Experience chairing technical authority* Experience in providing technical governance over a large portfolio of programmes and projects* Experience as a CTO beneficialTechnical Leadership:* Decision making* Track record in simplifying/cohering/converging a sizeable landscape* Solution architecture leadership focussed on infrastructure (network, hosting, devices, end user services, service management, security, cyber)* Champion of enterprise architecture and its role wrt solutions architecture* Ability to influence enterprise architecture teams to provide relevant models for delivery* Knowledge of engineering disciplines, agile and engineering life cycle* Familiarity with current and emerging government and industry standards and patterns, tool choices for infrastructure* Familiarity with latest technology trends, 5G, ZTA, cloud etc.* Able to hold their own with 1* delivery leads and programme directorsManagement:* Matrix/functional management (upwards of a dozen)* Experience of programme management* Experience leading a team of architects* Risk management* Supplier management desirableCommercial:* Awareness of commercial process and ability to influence commercial stakeholdersQualifications:* MBCS/MIET. CEng/CITP desirable* TOGAF or architecture framework (certification not essential but understanding and experience is)* ITIL* PRINCE/MSP/APMP desirable.
