My client is seeking a DV cleared Senior Project Manager to be based in Corsham for an initial 6 month contract.You must have experience of working of working on defence communications projects e.g. SATCOM/SKYNET.As a Senior Project Manager, you will provide support to SATCOM to enable the delivery of the project to the required time cost and performance targets.You will be involved in Project activities including:* Managing the monitoring and controlling financial aspects of each project or contract.* Agreeing contracts for the provision of goods/services needed for projects monitoring compliance and managing variances.* Managing the preparation and delivery of technical briefs, status reports, chairing meetings and taking minutes/notes.* Managing the management of a diverse range of stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and interests.* Identifying and monitoring project risks (threats and opportunities) planning and implementing responses to them and responding to other issues that affect products* Managing on the consolidation and documenting of the fundamental components of projects (scope, schedule, resource requirements, budgets, risks, opportunities, issues and quality requirements)* Preparing, gaining approval of, refining and updating business cases that justify projects in terms of benefits, costs and risks.* Identifying, defining, evaluating, planning, tracking and realising the business benefits of programmes/projects.* Establishing and maintaining governance arrangements for the delivery of projects, defining clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities that align with organisation practice.Essential:Experience of delivering projects using the project management approaches, tools and techniques that are described in the APM Body of Knowledge 6th Edition or the PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge 6th Edition.* Excellent communication skills.* Proven ability to define, tailor, source and analyse high quality management information.* Able to establish credibility required to work collaboratively across project team and contract boundaries.Qualifications - Association of Project Management (APM) Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent.Must be DV cleared and have Sole UK Nationality.
