Job Description

THE BUSINESSWestray Recruitment Group are seeking a Workshop/Drills Store Labourer to join our client based in Consett. The company in question provide a broad range of survey, geo-consulting, geotechnical, environmental and subsea services both within the UK and overseas.Much of the innovation that improves the efficiency and performance of our clients global operations emanates from the UK.THE ROLE

  • You will be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of drilling equipment & tooling for pre and post site use.
  • You will be responsible for the preparation of drilling equipment and consumables to be dispatched to sites/other depots from equipment lists or site requirements and advise any shortages to the Operation Coordinator.
  • You will ensure that records of equipment and consumables are recorded, reporting any damages or missing items of equipment.
  • Working closely with the Operations Manager, Operation Superintendent, Drilling Superintendents, Operations Co-Ordinator, Plant Supervisor, Plant Administrator, Fitters and other Depots
  • Taking part in team toolbox talk prior to shift activities
  • Carrying out independent or team tasks such as receiving and unloading goods delivered in
  • Using MS Excel document, the movement of equipment and consumables
  • Taking responsibility for your own Health and Safety and that of others around you
THE PERSONEssential
  • Experience within the Ground Investigation or construction Industry
  • General computer literacy including Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication, teamwork, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptive to changing context of work tasks
  • Ability to work in a safe and risk aware manner
  • Forklift Licence
Desirable
  • Experience of working in a similar role
  • An interest in mechanical repairs
