A successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring thatthe plant and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose. If you are an experienced Engineer looking for your next career move, apply now for an immediate response.The Job Youll Do;Assess performance and condition of plant and machinery, checking for wear and tear and identifying potential breakdowns and report to Supervisor/Chargehand.React to site breakdowns, provide technical problem-solving solutions to site personnel, identify and report any defects likely to lead to major breakdowns.Working with the supervisor to complete reports to ensure all progress, downtime, plant and equipment defects are correctly recorded.Internally you will work closely with the Plant supervisor/Charge-hand, Workshop Manager, Co-workers & Plant supervisors, externally you will occasionally work with site clients.Reading drawings.Working on an array of hydraulics and mechanics with regards to the plant and equipment.About You;Essential:GCSEs including Maths and English at grade C or above or equivalentBFPA Level 1 Hydraulics. NVQ level 2-3. Apprentice trained or equivalent training.Experience in plant/drilling equipment preferred, strong in both mechanical and hydraulic disciplines.Can demonstrate experience of complete overhauls to fault finding on a wide variety of plant such as pumps, winches, hydraulic deck cranes, HPU or agricultural equipment.Full UK Driving LicencePractical, Hands-on IndividualDesirable:Electrical KnowledgeCSCS CardFirst AidForklift LicenceSlinger/Signaller
