Mach Recruitment are currently searching for Machine Operators for permanent contract for one of our clients in Consett.The purpose of this role is to ensure that the production and packaging machines operate efficiently and safely in line with production requirements, customer quality standards and customer order requirements with consideration and adherence to site healthand safety standards.Key responsibilities include:- To ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner in compliance with the Companys Health & Safety Policy and Procedures.- Maintain GMP on the line, for which the machine operator is responsible for.- Take an active role in product change overs / start ups.- Report all faults without delay to relevant manager(s) to ensure engineers are at the scene to address issues ensuring production is restarted as soon as possible.- To ensure that the highest standards of hygiene and housekeeping are maintained in all areas - operating a clean as you go mentality- Deliver a performance to ensure that company minimum standards are met and exceeded.- Ensure all issues encountered in production areas are reported immediately to the direct line manager.- To proactively support, engage and drive the continuous improvement of Company performance, challenging existing practices and actively supporting the Companys waste reduction program.- To ensure that the Company is professionally represented at all times, both inside and outside the business.- To protect the health, safety and welfare of yourself and others at all times.- To respond to ad hoc requests and/or take an active role in specific projects as directed by your line manager.- To undertake any other reasonable duties as may from time to time be required by the Company.Shifts:- Monday - Thursday- Tuesday - FridayHours: 06:00am - 18:00pm/18:00pm - 06:00am (rotational)Pay rate:- £10 basic pay rate per hour;- £11 on completion of 1 line training;- £11.50 on completion of 2 lines training;- £12 on completion of 3 lines trainingBenefits:- Break - 2x20minutes (paid), 1x30 minutes (unpaid);- Monthly payment;- Pension;- Permanent Role;- Career Development and Progression;- Free parking;- Canteen (microwaves, fridges, kettles);- Vending machines (cheap);- Company shop (discounted products);- Regular social events;Mach Recruitment is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
