Job Description

THE BUSINESSWestray Recruitment Group are seeking a Logistics Manager to join our client based in the Durham area. The company specialises in the reverse engineering of rotating equipment and service and repair all variety of pumps to blue chip customers in the UK andoverseas; from multi-stage, high pressure units to small, over-hung end suction pumps.   • Controlling goods inwards — checking for discrepancies and booking them in using the company’s MRP system
  • Manage storage of WIP throughout the building, ensuring staff can access parts as necessary
  • Monitor and report discrepancies and non-compliances
  • Oversee the packing of products ready for shipping
  • Booking goods out using the companys ERP system
  • Controlling stock, issuing to departments, booking in/out of ERP system
  • Ensure transport is organised/booked for goods outwards, liaising with external hauliers
  • Lead a small team
  • Control of goods outwards, ensuring customer specific standards are adhered to.
THE PERSON
  • Forklift truck licence advantageous (if you have an expired licence, the company will re-train inhouse)
  • Good communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
  • Good IT skills/experience - MS Outlook, Word, Excel and experience of an ERP/MRP system
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory/management experience required Engineering (machinist) background preferred.
