The opportunityReporting to the COO, you will provide effective leadership across engineering, maintenance & reliability, process development & improvement, capital investment and process safety. You will ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards and companyprocedures at all times and will champion a continuous improvement approach and mindset through all levels within the team.As part of the Site Leadership Team, you look to continue to maximise the effectiveness of recent investment in automation, whilst continuing to identify the right opportunities for technology improvement, investment in plant and facilities and process improvementsto continuously improve site capabilities. You will also look to continue to raise the profile of reliability and TPM throughout the wider operations teams, to increase availability and reliability of plant and utilities. Working closely with the commercialteam, you will provide engineering support and process engineering & safety leadership for plant and process upgrades required for new product introduction with varying complex chemistry requirements. In addition, you will be part of the Emergency Controllerteam in the event of a site emergency.Operating strategically to develop an engineering excellence strategy, you will have the ability to lead, manage, coach and develop your teams to reach their full potential whilst being hands on as and when necessary. You will continue to challenge our existingsystems and procedures to ensure they continue to be fit for purpose for the business’s future growth. As Engineering Manager, you will be able to communicate effectively at all levels in the business and be involved in business wide decisions. About youAs a degree qualified and chartered Engineer, you will have previous experience working collaboratively as part of the Senior Leadership Team for a chemicals (COMAH), heavy pharmaceutical or process plant to provide technical expertise to challenge and influencesite wide decisions with a deep understanding of process safety. Commercially minded, you will have the budget management experience and have a track record in the development and delivery of an effective engineering, project and maintenance strategy to maximise performance and deliver a high-quality engineering serviceto operations. With strong leadership and management skills, you will have the ability to delegate effectively to your teams to support their development, whilst holding them to account for their responsibilities. Previous experience in embedding a continuous improvementculture and maximising equipment performance will enable you to make a significant contribution to the business.
