The right candidate will be joining a white metal repair and manufacturing company. Manufacturing is predominately made to order according to customer designs and specifications.Repair of bearings components are either according to drawings or from inwards inspection of damaged components. This results in a huge amount of product variety, complexity and customer requirements. If you have experience in running a 5-axis machine withMazak controls and are competent at programming this may be the role for you. Please read on...THE ROLEThis role will be to work with our production team to provide support in the CNC machine shop operating/programming Mazak 200Y/Mazak 300Y/Mazak J300 5 axis turn/mill centreMachining to drawing or instruction, general tolerances +/-0.1mmFinal machining of product to drawing or instruction, tolerances 0.02mmTurning/Milling, working to similar tolerances as aboveTHE PERSONExperience working in engineering/production environment before and ideally within a CNC machine shop5 axis Mazak programming and operating is essentialReading of engineering drawings is essential.You must be very well organised and disciplined in your work.Good communication skills, verbal and written.Experience of tolerances and using both metric and imperial measurements is beneficialKnowledge of geometric tolerances is advantageousFlexibility and understanding pressures of delivery is essential due to the demand of clients in breakdown situationTO APPLYPlease apply for this position and your CV will go direct to our Engineering Consultant Neil Douthwaite who is leading the search.
