Job Description

Freightserve are looking to recruit a Warehouse Assistant for a Heathrow based niche sector Shipping company.Responsibilities:· Support in the removing of shipments from the warehouse for vehicle loads, ensuring unique reference number is checked against each collection and delivery.· Receive shipments into the warehouse checking documents, unique reference number, quantity and signs of damage or tampering. Locating all shipments once checked and referenced.· Set status one on shipments received into the warehouse in a timely manner, and check customs status before releasing.· Liaise effectively with colleagues from other departments.· Maintain stock levels of driver equipment.· Receive vehicles in and out of the warehouse following specific security instructions.· Keep the warehouse clean and tidy at all times.· Conduct daily stock reviews.· Undertake additional duties, or assist other members of staff, as may be reasonably requested by your manager or the directors.The knowledge, skills and experience required from our Warehouse Assistant are:-· Experience of warehouse work; including operation, stock locations and health & safety.· Counter balance forklift licence, with experience.· A full UK driving licence.· A good knowledge of the English language, both verbal and written.· Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to tight deadlines.· Strong communication skills: the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.· Be a team player; by working well with members of staff across all departments.· Sound knowledge of IT - Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience of using a CRM system.Working hours are Monday - Friday 0830 - 1730Please only apply if you have the necessary experience as only people with the correct experience will be contacted.
