Assist the Financial Controller in overseeing the finance department and managing day-to-day financial operations.
Prepare and analyse financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support decision-making.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities, providing insights and recommendations for cost control and financial performance improvement.
Coordinate with auditors and facilitate external audits.
Mentor and supervise junior finance staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

AAT qualified with a desire to embark on the next step towards becoming a chartered accountant (support for further qualifications can be provided by Goldstar).
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Demonstrated leadership potential and a desire to grow into a management role.
