Job Description

Quality Inspector, Goods InwardsSalary up £21,750ColeshillThe company This is an SME, that supplies into 100 countries with over 6000 customers that has a 5 star rating.Why would I want to work hereThey are investing heavily in training and development of staff and provide internal communications, so you are always aware of what is going on in the business. Working hours are 8.30 to 5.30 Monday to Friday.Ideally you will be available for interview next week and be able to start week com 7 DecemberThe Role of Quality InspectorThe Quality Inspector is responsible for all aspects of receiving and unloading goods from delivery vehicles, stripping packaging, initial damage and quantity reviewed against incoming paperwork, followed by AS9120 Rev B Quality Inspection of the goods against our Purchase Order requirements for accurate and conforming paperwork. Many products have special requirements that must be checked including shelf life, storage conditions, certificates of conformity, and supplier specifications.Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe receipt and handling of product being delivered by carriers and hauliers.
  • Driving of the forklift trucks in a safe and responsible manner (where applicable).
  • Identifying potential risks upon receipt of goods
  • Maintain safe working practice when opening and identifying incoming product.
  • Reviewing the incoming product to ensure they are fully conforming.
  • Reviewing incoming Supplier and Manufacturer documentation for conformance to requirements.
  • Booking product in using the ERP System.
  • Ensuring the product is suitable and safe for passing to the Warehouse for stock put away.
  • Labelling of incoming items as necessary (barcode labels and CLP labelling)
  • RequirementsThis role is physically demanding so you must be comfortable working on your feet all day, unloading and unpacking goods.FLT Licence, ideally Bendi and CounterbalanceFull driving licence2 years experience working in Goods inwards / quality roleJo ref 3356 Required skills
