Job Description

Project Buyer - £36,000to £38,000Hybrid Role - Work from home!Lots of opportunity for growth and development in your role!Interested in joining a hybrid working role into a growing part of the business which will allow you to make your mark on the businessOur ever growing E-Commerce client is recruiting for a Project Buyer to join their business to help deal with their growth in their buying division. The right candidate will join a team which deal with evaluating of cost data and work diligently to identifycost saving opportunities.The role with involve frequent communication and updating to both management and suppliers as necessary. Responsibility will be taken for monitoring the supply chain to ensure smooth order of work and minimise disruption. Managementto report, predict and plan for future needs. This will involve creating strategies and proposals in order to maximise the purchasing position . The role will involve working with suppleirs across the globe.Reporting to the Head of Buying the Project Buyer will be:

  • Evaluate cost data, work diligently to identify cost saving opportunities
  • Constantly strive for process improvement opportunities internally, with the Supplier base, focussing on business Best Practice initiatives
  • Supports the Project Managers in the acquisition of project specific purchases
  • Participates, under minimum supervision, in broad assignments requiring originality and ingenuity
  • Negotiates pricing, payment terms, terms and conditions of purchase and issues Purchase Orders in accordance with schedule constraints
  • Works closely with the Project Managers to meet project requirements
  • Maintains awareness of current and future market conditions and the probable effect on the supply and prices of equipment, materials and/or services
  • Provides timely, effective and efficient status reports on work in progress
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Procurement Manager
The Project Buyer will get:
  • £36,000 to £38,000 per annum
