An electronics business in Birmingham who design and manufacture inspection equipment for a niche market sector require an Embedded Software Engineer to join the team.You will be working on a wireless handheld controller, which is used by an individual to manoeuvre and control the machine which carries out inspection.With strong customer demand for additional features and increased performance of its current product, you will be working on the latest version. In this role you will be working part of a mixed disciplined R&D team, which consists of Electronic and Mechanical Engineers.For this role you should be a confident Real Time Embedded C programmer with plenty of Microcontroller/ Microprocessor experience. It would be advantageous if you have worked on products that need to operate at Low Power in order preserve battery life.This role requires someone who is comfortable working throughout the software lifecycle. You will be expected to do embedded software development and the relevant testing (e.g. Unit Testing) of the software you produce.LOCATION OF WORK: This contract is working remotely for the immediate future. Once the CV-19 situation has cleared, you will be required to work 3 or 4 days a week onsite.SKILLS REQUIRED:
