Job Description

TEACHING ASSISTANT JOBS - SECONDARY MAINSTREAM / SEND DEPARTMENT

    • This Role: Are you looking for a new challenge, perhaps specializing in working with students with physical needs This is an opoportunity to work in a successful and highly inclusive school with a dedicated, supportive and forward-thinking team of learning support assistants within an SEND department/ one of the biggest SEND provision in London.In addition to supporting students learning, your duties may include: tending to students personal needs, including toileting, physiotherapy, dressing and mobility; assisting with manual handling, including the use of specialist equipment; and working with therapists to ensure all appropriate therapy is delivered. You will be fully supported on this and not all positions include these responsibilities.We wish to register candidiates who:
  • have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • are able to work effectively as part of a team
  • have experience of, or interest in, supporting students with physical needs
  • are able to work full time, 34 hours per week
    • The position would suit those seeking a longer term post working with teenagers in a supportive role in a stimulating environment and those considering a teaching career wishing to gain experience in a mainstream secondary school/ with involvement supporting vulnerable students within the SEND department.
