Job Description

First Achieves Engineering Division are working with a long established company who manufacture industrial components for the marine industries. Due to an ever expanding order book, they are looking for an Assembly Fitter to join their team.

  • Temp to Perm Position.
  • £15.50 (Umbrellal) £13.800 per hour when you go permanent.
  • Plenty of OverTime Available at time and a half
  • Monday to Friday Day Shift
Duties:
  • Assembling industrial components for the marine industry
  • Using manual measuring equipment and hand tools
  • Broad assembly using a range of fasteners
  • Operating a variety of bench top tools
  • Bonding using sealants and over sealing
  • Low level self-inspection and setting to proven jigs
  • Setting products in jigs and fixtures
  • Working on larger assemblies
Qualifications, skills, attributes, experience required:
  • Previous Assembly experience ideally within mechanical engineering / Fabrication
  • Competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Previous experience in a similar field of work
  • Can be trusted to self-inspect and work under loose supervision
  • Flexible to work shifts, when the time comes.
