Job Description

This position seeks an experienced Design Engineering Manager who will effectively lead the engineering design team and manage design projects within the industrial/manufacturing industry. The role is based in Central Belt Scotland and requires a keen mechanicaldesign engineer with excellent leadership abilities.Client DetailsOur client is a large, reputable organisation specialising in the industrial/manufacturing sector. Manage and lead the design engineering team.
Oversee product design projects from conception to completion.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure the successful implementation of design objectives.
Ensure all engineering designs and processes comply with industry standards and regulations.
Identify and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the design process.
Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Manage budget and resources for design projects.

ProfileA successful Design Engineering Manager should have:

A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Significant experience in design engineering within the industrial/manufacturing sector ideally metal work
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
Exceptional project management skills.
