Job Description

  • Based in Coalville Develop and introduce KPIs to measure the quality of the operation

Client DetailsMy client is one of Europes leading 3PL providers, with a growing UK footprint. Due to rapid expansion in their network, the business are now looking to bolster their management team at the new RDC with the addition of a Quality Control manager.DescriptionKey Responsibilities for the successful Quality Control Supervisor include;
  • Establish quality procedures, standards, and specifications for the site in line with the operational requirements
  • Train colleagues on quality processes throughout the site
  • Develop and introduce KPIs to measure the quality of the operation
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, to meet quality requirements
  • Support the HSSE Manager to set and enforce standards for health and safety during work operations
  • Carry out research to identify ways to reduce waste and maximise resources, alongside, collecting, compiling, and analysing relevant quality statistical data to obtain information regarding quality performance
  • Ensure all approved processes follow both company standards and customer requirements
  • Ensure customer requirements are being met by established quality standards
  • Recommend to company management on ways to improve on existing quality processes
  • Monitor processes and staff to ensure they perform their duties in line with established quality procedures
  • Review existing process to identify the need for improvement or update
  • Responsible for supporting site external/internal audits including follow up and developing action plans
  • Work closely with the HSSEQ Manager to ensure the deployment of policies and procedures related to safety
ProfileThe successful Quality Control Supervisor will have:
  • Knowledge in Quality, Safety, Environment - ESSENTIAL
  • A thorough background and understanding in HSE - ESSENTIAL
  • Experience in risk analysis and creating solid auditing procedures - ESSENTIAL
  • Ability to deliver training on quality processes to maximise efficiency - ESSENTIAL
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Especially Excel) - ESSENTIAL
  • Degree Educated (Or Equivalent Qualification) - DESIRABLE
  • Organisational skills are required for planning and developing operational standards and procedures.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain background (Ideally as a Quality Control Manager or equivalent position) - ESSENTIAL
  • Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, delegate and support colleague training and development
  • Commutable to Leicester, Derby, Nottingham and Loughborough.
