Job Description

Job title: Fabricator MIG Welder Role: Permanent - Inside IR35 Salary Range: £14.00 - £15.00 per hour - ( PAYE) Over time paid in premium Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm (Monday - Friday) 6:00am - 11:00am (Friday) Location: Coalville, Leicestershire Permanent role working for a UK leading Plant Construction Manufacturer A self-motivated fabricator MIG welder with precise attention to detail is required with knowledge of MIG and TIG welding within a heavy engineering environment.Candidates with vast knowledge and experience within MIG, TIG and Arc welding alongside Magnetic Particle Testing (MPI) and various measuring equipment will be well received.Due to increased business requirements, this facility in Coalville is looking for a MIG welder with fabrication experience and knowledge of fabricated components. As a fabricator MIG welder , you will be required to:

  • Fabricate and weld feeder frames using MIG Welding equipment.
  • Analyse previous completed work using Magnetic Particle Testing (MPI) and various measuring equipment.
  • TIG weld finished mainframes.
  • Have an understanding of Lean Principles & methodology.
  • Have the capability to work in a team environment as well as be able to use own initiative
  • Shotblast (Training will be given)
  • Understand and interpret engineering drawings, specifically different welding symbols.
The fabricator MIG welder should have the following skills or experience:
  • Time served apprenticeship or equivalent experience
  • Experienced in MIG and TIG welding within a substantial engineering setting
  • Fabrication with prepping of own steel
  • Overhead pendant operated crane experience or licence (Ideally, but if not, training would be provided)
  • Experience of Slinging training or license (Ideally, but if not, training would be provided)

  • Permanent position
  • £14.00 per hour - (PAYE)
  • 6:00am - 2:30pm (Monday - Friday) 6:00am - 11:00am (Friday)
