Job Description

ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT/Full Study. RECfinancial are delighted to be recruiting exclusively for this North West Leicester based FMCG business as they continue to grow and shape for the future. So who are Board24 Board24 are the largest sheet feeder in the UK, supplying corrugated board across England and Scotland, manufacturing for over 30 years. The Finance team is perfectly formed and is now looking to appoint an Assistant Accountant to the team with a defined career path for the successful candidate. What Is the Role Reporting into the Financial Controller, your role will be to support all aspects of general accounting and finance within the Finance Team and to contribute to the achievement of financial objectives. What Do They Want Ideally being part/fully qualified AAT/ACCA/CIMA or ACA, you will possess strong Accounts knowledge to include the following;

  • . Monthend Preparation
    • Prepare the month end files
  • Monthend Processing
    • Assistance with journal posting
    • Assistance with balance sheet reconciliations
    • Completion of National Statistics forms
    • Assistance with processing P11Ds.
  • Financial reporting
    • Circulate weekly and monthly financial reports
    • Cashflow forecast
  • Audit and Governance
    • Assist the FC and FD with the audit process
    • Attend stock counts when required
  • Spending Reporting & Review
    • Review the monthly spends, identify the drivers behind the spend and recommend actions for improvement
Who Do They WantThis role is very much focused on having the right attitude and aptitude. A strong background in Assistant Management Accounting is ideal but a strong financial focus is also ideal. As an individual, you will have the drive, passion and hunger to grow withinthe role. My clients will also consider candidates with a Practice background. Whats On Offer
