Job Description

LB131 - Stores OperativeLocation: ClevedonSalary: £24,000 + BenefitsOverview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Stores Operative on behalf of one of our clients. Completing the final inspection, packing and despatching of finished goods, working closely with all departments and managers to support the delivery of business success.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To unload goods delivered and move them to their designated location.
  • To inspect selected goods received and verify & approve whenever necessary.
  • To move goods both within and between stores/production and site locations as required.
  • To deliver and collect goods as required.
  • Accurate stock values are maintained.
  • To manage Quarantine stock locations.
  • To create & edit works orders when necessary.
  • To work closely with Purchasing department on stock management.
  • To pack finished goods and prepare them for despatch as per quality standards.
  • To load despatches of goods.
  • To store and maintain all stock in an organised, safe & tidy manner, including enclosures & batteries which are to be clearly marked with job numbers.
  • To undertake other reasonable tasks as requested.
  • To ensure that deliveries are located in their designated stores or production location within 1 day of delivery.
  • To ensure that all completed jobs are packed & ready for despatch within 1 day of test completion.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Forklift Licence
  • Computerised stock control.
  • Microsoft Excel.
  • QAM (sections 1-3), QAP2.4, QAP2.8, QAP3.3, QAP4.1.
  • IT literate.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Teamwork.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
