Quality EngineerAerospace ProductsClevedon Near BristolUp to £42k including shift allowance.Double Day shift05:50-14:00 and 13:5022:00 Monday to ThursdayFridays 05:50-11:20 and 11:10-16:40.If you are an experience quality engineer who is looking for a new challenge with a well-established aerospace supplier, then this could be ideal for you! This role is based on a double day shift so salary including shift allowance would be in the regionof £40-£42kIdeally you will have experience as a quality engineer within the aerospace sector although people from other regulated industries could also be ideal.The company are going through a successful and busy period so offer good job security and prospects to progress.For full details please apply online and one of the team at Reed will call you backResponsibilities:FAIR creation (as per AS9102 requirement) and reviewPerform Product / Process / Internal Audits and report and manage non-conformances.Provide support during customer source inspection/audits and audit body surveillance audits.Create product quality procedures / SOP / Technical documentationDevelop and maintain site quality documentation to develop the QMS.Review quality aspects of customer specifications and contracts (contract review)Lead projects linked to Quality Improvement / Customer Complaint / NPIManaging preventative action and continuous improvement activitiesDevelop and implement quality programmes, including tracking, analysing, reporting.Problem solving using recognized tools such as PPAP, PFMEA, 8D, A3, 5Y, etc.Process and equipment validation using MSA and capability studies.Experience in running CMMs and able to understand CMM measurement reports.Aiding in the investigation process for customer non-conformances.Quality support for shop floor manufacturing activitiesQuality support for supplier and sub-contractor activitiesQuality support to other departments (Design, Application, Production Engineering)Collection and reporting of data required to monitor site KPIs and local metrics.Participation in 5S activities.Skills and Qualifications:HND qualified (or equivalent qualification / automotive or aerospace experience)Computer literate including MS office (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point)Ability to use problem solving tools (PFMEA, 8D, 5Y etc)Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to confidently interact with customers and suppliersExcellent written communications skills including technical report writing.Knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, AS13000, CAA Part21G,
