Job Description

Job Title: Software Developer | Hybrid | £55,000Location: South Bristol, Hybrid 3 days a week in the officeAre you ready to elevate your career in the event technology industry and work with a dynamic team on a cutting-edge platform I am looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Software Developer to join a product development team. My client is committedto pushing the boundaries of event technology, and we need your expertise to take us to the next level.Responsibilities:As a Software Developer, you will collaborate with the technical and account teams to create and enhance various components of their event technology platform. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing streaming video APIs, chat applications, and content delivery systems.
  • Applying strong project management skills to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
  • Collaborating with the team to implement common software engineering patterns.
  • Working with modern JavaScript libraries and front-end frameworks.
  • Utilizing SCSS for front-end design.
  • Demonstrating expertise in SQL, including planning, management, and optimization.
  • Managing containers and working with Docker.
  • Utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) for platform deployment.
  • Maintaining code version control using Git workflow.
Requirements:To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
  • Commercial object-oriented PHP experience.
  • Working knowledge of the Laravel web application framework.
  • Understanding of common software engineering patterns.
  • Familiarity with modern JavaScript libraries.
  • Knowledge of front-end frameworks and SCSS.
  • Strong skills with SQL, including planning, management, and optimization.
  • Experience working with Docker.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services.
  • Proficiency with Git workflow.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for creating quality software.
