Lab Assistant - Clevedon - £21,000My client is seeking a Lab Assistant to join their team in Clevedon. They are a food manufacturer, and this role would be offering support within a lab based environmentThis role would suit a candidate who has a passion for food whilst at the same time keen to undertake lab work. Within this role the successful candidate would be working within an environment that involves tasting and understanding flavours. The role offerslong term development for a candidate with a passion for food and NPD combined with an analytical approachFood Technologist Duties include:Production of food and beverage samplesApplication of flavourings into food and beverage productsMaintenance of recipe databaseMaintenance evaluations databaseMaintenance of the sample library; making and replenishing stock as requiredProduction of presentation samples with accompanying paperwork, to the required timescale, as required by the customer briefMaintenance of a clean and tidy work environmentReplenishment of stock of raw materials and consumables, as requiredFood Technologist Skills/ Experience RequiredA keen interest in Food and FlavoursPrevious experience working in a development laboratory/kitchen and advantageCompetent in using Microsoft Office, including ExcelGCSE or equivalent at Grade B or above in Maths and EnglishThe role pays a salary of £21000 and the successful candidate will be working 08.45 to 16:45 Mon- Thurs, 08:45 to 16:00 Friday (No shifts).This role is commutable from Avonmouth, Bristol, Clevedon, Portishead, Gloucester, Weston Super Mare, Highbridge, Bridgwater, BurnhamThis role may also suit a candidate from a lab or chef background, a food graduate, graduate administrator looking for a career start in the food industryIf the role is of interest, then please send your cv TODAYKey Words FOOD Technologist, NPD Technologist, Applications Technologist, NPD Assistant, Flavourings Technologist, Lab Tech, Chef, Food Science
