Food Technologist - Clevedon - £21,000My client is a growing company that produces food flavourings for the global food and drink market. As part of their R&D team they are looking to recruit a Food Technologist. Located in Clevedon near Weston Super Mare and close to Bristol this is an excellentopportunity to join a growing company in a day based role. This role would suit a candidate who has a passion for food who is keen to expand their knowledge of Food Technology. Within this role the successful candidate would be working within a lab-based environment supporting the team working within an environmentthat involves tasting and understanding flavours. The role offers long term development for a candidate with a passion for food and NPD combined with an analytical approachFood Technologist Duties include: Production of food and beverage samples Application of flavourings into food and beverage products Maintenance of recipe database Maintenance evaluations database Maintenance of the sample library; making and replenishing stock as required Production of presentation samples with accompanying paperwork, to the required timescale, as required by the customer brief Maintenance of a clean and tidy work environment Replenishment of stock of raw materials and consumables, as requiredFood Technologist Skills/ Experience Required Experience in working with food essential Previous experience working in a development laboratory/kitchen and advantage Food related degree or equivalent an advantage Competent in using Microsoft Office, including Excel GCSE or equivalent at Grade B or above in Maths and EnglishThe role pays a salary of £21000 and the successful candidate will be working 08.45 to 16:45 Mon- Thurs, 08:45 to 16:00 Friday (No shifts).
