Job Description

We are recruiting for a facilities operative / handyman with great enthusiasm to learn and grow within the steel industry!Our client continues to grow every year and is currently in its next expansion phase so it is a very exciting time to join this company with some excellent long term career opportunities.As a facilities operative you will have to up keep of the site internal and external being, removal and disposal of waste, assisting the maintenance team and have a keen awareness of health and safety and safe working practices.JOB TYPE:

  • Temporary to Permanent.
**ANY ELECTRICAL QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED DUTIES:
  • Walk around the pedestrian walkways on site and remove and dispose of any waste on the ground.
  • Ground maintenance including Grass cutting weeding and hedge trimming.
  • Daily use of mechanical road sweeping equipment to set routine.
  • Use of mechanical gardening equipment
  • Use of industrial cleaning equipment.
  • Fixing and mending various items
  • Ad-hoc and miscellaneous work requested by facilities supervisor and managers.
  • Ensure that your working environment is kept clean and hazard free at all times.
  • Site cleaning both internal and external.
  • Use of waste compacting equipment.
  • Working at heights.
SHIFT TIME:
  • 8:00am to 4:00pm
  • Monday to Friday
SALARY:
  • £13.50 per hour
BENEFITS:
  • Monthly attendance bonus of £80
