Job Description

Calibration Technician- ClevedonAre you looking for a new challenge Do you have a great understanding and knowledge with measuring equipment and CMM machines Are you a very highly organised person If yes, this could be the role for you...Our client, a major manufacturer of bearings for the aerospace industry, is looking for a Calibration Technician to join their team. As a Calibration Technician you will be responsible for the management of the calibration system, and development of measurementsystems and techniques.What would you do

  • Manage the calibration system to ensure schedule adherence as per the quality system
  • Complete in-house calibration of in accordance the National and International standards.
  • Manage the availability of internal equipment and work closely with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Manage external calibration providers to ensure the quality and timely calibration of the equipment.
  • Continually improve Measurement Systems.
  • Assist the manufacturing channels when required with a methodical approach to problem solving while under pressure.
  • Perform and interpret MSA and SPC studies to ensure compliance to quality standards.
  • Undertake process and system audits in-line with the clients policies.
  • To carry out any other duties when and if requested by the company.
  • Create work instruction and deliver training to production areas.
  • Direct involvement with internal MES project, reporting directly to senior management
What are we looking for
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a Manufacturing / Aerospace environment.
  • HNC Engineering or demonstratable experience
  • Methodical, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment.
  • Work independently
  • 5S management of own environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to manage a busy, time dependent workload
  • Good IT skills essential.
  • Good written and communication skills.
  • Operational knowledge of CMM would be an advantage.
