We are looking for a Graduate Mechanical CAD Engineer on behalf of this established business in the automotive industry. This Mechanical CAD Engineer role sits within the engineering team and provides a link to the sales, marketing and procurement functionswithin the business ensuring that technical information supplied is accurate and up to date.As a Graduate Mechanical CAD Engineer, you will work on thermal management projects for leading EV, Hybrid & Fuel Cell vehicle manufacturers. You will control a number of product ranges and be responsible for the documentation of the product including technicaldrawings, specifications, material specifications, CAD and technical drawings, testing and certification, constructing BOM information, product specification matrices, training materials and technical documentation.If you want to join a small, effective team where you can grow with the role and make a difference; if you are commercially minded and a natural, get stuck in problem solver, then a fantastic opportunity awaits.General Details:Location: CleckheatonEmployment Type: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £25,000-£30,000 per annum (Depending on Experience) + BonusBenefits:* Opportunities for professional development and progression in a rapidly evolving industry.* Contribution to R&D projects and innovative solutions for net-zero initiatives.* Involvement in in-house design and manufacture projects.* 24 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, Pension scheme, modern working environment, free onsite parking & refreshments.Key Responsibilities:* Creating and developing 3D CAD models using Autodesk Inventor for parts and assemblies related to thermal management systems.* Generating 2D drawings and technical specifications based on 3D models.* Documenting product specifications, material specifications, technical drawings, and certifications.* Managing the CAD library, document control, and revisions, including issuing Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).* Collaborating with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, procurement) to ensure accurate and up-to-date technical information is supplied.About the company:Specialising in thermal management solutions for a diverse range of clients, from OEMs to aftermarket companies and fleet operators.
