Job Description

We are looking for a Hotel Receptionist for a 4 star hotel based in Claverdon. This is a full time position which requires the successful candidate to work 5 days out of 7 in a shift pattern totalling to 42.5 hours per week. You must be able to drive to reach the location. All meals whilst on duty and uniform are provided and employees have access to the leisure facilities onsite when not on shift. Employees are also entitled to discounts in the Spa. There are many opportunities for progression within this company so this is a fantastic role. Please note that previous experience working in customer service, hospitality or on reception is preferred.Administrative duties include:- Completing daily checklists to ensure all parts of a shift are complete - Complete Check-in and Check-out procedures - Ensuring all information on Guest Registration Cards is accurate and complete- Preparing Bills / taking payments/ transfer Accounts to Guest Ledger - Completing Brochure requests- Typing, Checking and Printing Menus/Table Plans/Place Cards- Checking Booking Correspondence and Restaurant Pre-Bookings- Complete end of shift cash up- Pick up and leave effective handovers to Receptionists / Night Porters-Taking Restaurant bookings/enquiries- Answering the telephone / switchboard and directing calls appropriatelyReception staff are required to: - Be articulate and well-presented at all times- Deal with customer enquiries and bookings by phone, e-mail, letter, fax or face-to-face- Provide information and assistance to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable experience- Have detailed knowledge of Hotel Website - Have detailed knowledge of Hotel bedrooms provide show-round of Hotel and facilities whilst showing guests to bedrooms - Have knowledge and advanced understanding of requirements of 4 star Hotel - Have a detailed knowledge of the Hotel, Conference, Leisure and Spa facilities - Deal with and act upon special requests from guests - Reserve Taxis- Give coherent directions to the Hotel and local attractions/public transport- Liaise directly with Duty Managers and report any Guests comments to relevant Departmental Staff e.g. Housekeeping/maintenance/Kitchen- Communicate with Housekeeping Team - Have knowledge and understanding of the Hotel Food & Beverage facilities and be able to discuss menus with Guests- Have understanding of Hotel Wi-Fi facilities and be able to discuss accurately with GuestsIf you have the relevant skills, please click APPLY!
