Job Description

Specification Sales Manager - Flooring Job Title: Specification Sales Manager - FlooringIndustry Sector: A&D, Architects and Interior Designers, Architects, Designers, Specifiers, Flooring Contractors, Fit-Out Contractors, Healthcare Groups, Student Accommodation Providers, Education, Building Surveyors, Letting Agents, Local Authorities, Interior Building Products, Flooring ProductsArea to be covered: South East (focus of London)Remuneration: £45,000 + commission giving OTE £55,000Benefits: VW Tiguan or equivalent & full benefitsThe role of the Specification Sales Manager Flooring will involve:

  • Field sales position selling a full range of flooring products such as carpets, carpets tiles, luxury vinyl tiles (LVT), floorcoverings
  • All of your time will be spent getting specification on commercial projects with architects, designers, healthcare groups, fit out companies, student accommodation providers
  • You will then pass this through the internal sales operation for them to follow it through to build phase
  • All of your time will be spent generating new business relationship via your own contacts and internal lead support
  • Inheriting a completely clean slate with negotiable target
  • Targeting commercial projects such as hotels, offices, schools, nursing homes, student accommodation, hospitals, social housing and new builds
    • The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager Flooring with:
  • Must have a proven track record of selling into the architects or interior designers (A&D) specification marketplace
  • Must have sold an interior products such as flooring, floorcoverings, carpets, carpet tiles, LVT, wallcoverings, floor & wall, tiles, decorative panels, ceilings, furniture and acoustic panels,
  • Must have contacts within the A&D architects and designers market sectors
  • Tactile sales background rather that technical, sold something aesthetically pleasing, ideally flooring related
  • Carpet knowledge not essential
  • Team player
  • Energy, passion and Enthusiasm
  • Strong commercial and presentation skills
