Job Description

Software Engineer TypeScript Angular 14 London / WFH to £1000 p/day (inside IR35)Global FinTech operating in over 60 global markets is seeking a senior, hands-on Software Engineer for a 12 month hybrid contract.Joining an Agile development team you will design and develop highly complex, modern, fast and user friendly web front ends and help drive the transformation to TypeScript and Angular 14.Theres an emphasis on software engineering best practices TDD and Unit Testing to develop quality reusable code libraries and frameworks for the trading platform using a range of technologies and processes including Isomorphic JavaScript, Node.js, GraphQL,Next.jsThere are technical challenges around webpage load performance and cross browser development; you will be developing highly complex applications and optimising the speed of the browser, problem solving and driving innovation. Youll be able to work witha great deal of autonomy with little red tape and no pointless meetings but with support from the Lead Engineer.Location / WFH:You can work from home most of the time, meeting up with colleagues in the London office fairly regularly.Requirements:

  • You have strong experience with Vanilla JavaScript and TypeScript
  • You have worked on complex web applications
  • You have a strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns
  • You have experience with a range of web technologies including most of the following: HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Angular, React, Next.js, Node.js, GraphQL, Isomorphic JavaScript
  • You have advanced analysis and problem solving abilities
  • You have good communication and interpersonal skills, youre a collaborative team player
  • Youre degree educated, Computer Science preferred
