Job Description

Senior Manager in OCTG Department A Japanese company based in London are currently looking for a Senior Manager in their European joint venture. The role will initially be based in their City of London Office and the successful candidate will then be seconded to work onsite at their joint venturecompany in Spain. The company is a small size operation (less than 25 staff) and sell steel pipes mainly for oil and gas drilling, covering Europe, CIS, and the entire African Region. The role will be responsible for managing bid and contract documentation.Type: Full time, PermanentWorking hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 17:00Location: London/Spain Salary: £60-90k or equivalent in Euro plus monthly housing & car allowance while on secondment in Spain. Annual bonus will be paid based depending on the performance.Senior Manager Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the General Manager to plan the financial (including sales) and technical business plan
  • Assist the General Manager to achieve the business plan
  • Monitor and improve the factory’s financial (including sales) and production status
  • Assist the General Manager to investigate any financial and technical issues in the factory and proactively recommend and implement solutions
  • Report the factory’s production/sales/financial/technical status to London on a weekly basis
  • Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of new business to contribute to the operation
Senior Manager Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience of working in the Oil and Gas Industry in the steel tubular goods sector would be advantageous
  • Fluent spoken and written English essential, Spanish language skill would be advantageous
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, able to quickly develop and maintain excellent business relationships
  • Proven ability to meet financial and technical targets and expand new business
