Reed Human Resources are looking to recruit a Senior Industrial Relations Manager***This is not an Employee Relations role***Travel to different location is required.You will be working with theEmployee Relations & Strategic Transformation team; theyfocuson creating and delivering people practices which develop and maintain positive working relationships within the business. As custodians for employee Terms and Conditions,theywork closely with internal stakeholders, trade unions and employee representatives, to ensure theirpeople practices are fair and transparent.Responsible for supporting the Head of Employee Relations and Transformation in the delivery of business objectives, your duties are as follows:. • Responsible for providing expertise on policy, terms and conditions including advice to both the HR team and the wider business on the strategic employee relations agenda.• Responsible for high level negotiations with Trade Unions on behalf of the business and for developing a positive ER climate during any major organisational change.• Play a critical role in developing and maintaining trust with our Trade Union representatives and employees. By aligning organisational strategy with employee needs and help develop effective people practices.Provide advice and expertise related to employee terms and conditions to internal stakeholders responsible for frontline team operations and customer service.• Provide advice to Executive Team and senior HR team on employee relations policy and processes.• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the business to continuously improve employee relations to support high engagement/performance levels, supporting the business both culturally and commercially.• Act as a key point of contact between the business and all trade unions, building effective working relationships.• Support the Head of Employee Relations and Transformation in delivery of business strategy that involves Union engagement.• Liaising with Legal resources to ensure legal risks are fully considered and to ensure consistency of advice and guidance across the business.• Developing HR capability in the understanding and application of employment law, policies and practices to ensure consistency and manage risk• Advises and trains managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing issues.• Consulting with Trade Unions on company policies.• Supporting managers in consulting/negotiating on business requirements with trade Unions. • Alerting the business of any potential areas of dispute or loss and recommending strategies for resolution.
