Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Reporting, as Senior Finance Manager (Technical Accounting) this role takes the lead on all technical reporting and accounting matters for this specialist lending bank. It includes:

  • Preparing technical accounting papers for the board and Exco
  • Support projects such as new products and M&A activity with regards accounting treatments and reporting and presenting to the SLT and board
  • Supporting on the annual statutory accounts with regards complex journals such as fair value and cash flow hedging, new disclosure reporting and assisting to manage the reporting process
  • Keep abreast of all IFRS changes and implementation including IFRS9 and 16.
  • Prepare reports for Audit Committee meetings
  • Support analysis on key MI working closely with a colleague to drive value added insights
  • Support on regulatory reporting changes to policy and interpretations thereof
This would suit a (ACA/ACCA qualified) candidate in a technically challenging audit role within Banking & Financial Services or a technical advisory team seeking a move to industry. Alternatively, someone in a technically focused role within another bankwho is looking to take on greater ownership and responsibility within a private equity backed bank.
