Job Description

European & UK Tax Director - New Opportunity!Reed Finance - Leadership have been engaged on this exciting new opportunity.Join a prestigious investment firm in a newly created role as the European & UK Tax Director. We’re looking for an experienced tax professional with a strong background in tax structuring, advisory, and compliance across Europe and the UK.Key responsibilities will include managing a small team and:

  • Manage tax filing obligations for group entities in Europe and the UK.
  • Prepare tax records, reports, and other materials in compliance with tax laws.
  • Oversee all tax audits and liaise with tax authorities to resolve issues.
  • Provide technical support for tax provisions, payments, and complex VAT matters.
  • Lead tax due diligence and structuring for acquisitions and disposals in Europe and the UK.
  • Review cross-border transactions and provide recommendations to optimize the tax position.
  • Support finance and business units with information and advice on all tax matters.
  • Support transfer pricing documentation and strategic execution.
  • Implement global tax strategy and policies.
This role will suit:
  • Qualified CTA or equivalent with experience managing a team in a similar role.
  • Experience at Head of or Tax Director level.
  • Strong knowledge of European tax laws, including France, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Ireland etc.
  • Meticulous, independent with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • M&A due diligence and integration experience strongly preferred.
  • Additional European language skills are a plus.
