Job Description

We are currently working with an established Wholesale Lloyd’s Broker based in the heart of the City. Specialising in the placement of commercial products and services to insurance intermediaries including liability, motor fleet, property, and professionalindemnity. Our client is experiencing rapid growth and is known for its dynamic and vibrant team culture.As a Wholesale Account Handler, you will play a crucial role in managing combined, property, and casualty business. Your responsibilities will includehandling client queries, overseeing new and renewal business, and collaborating with the team.Key responsibilities:

  • Support Account Executives in maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Assist the Account Manager in developing and training Account Handlers/Trainees in their understanding of the placement setup.
  • Attend and contribute to internal Technical Meetings.
  • Identify ways to enhance the skills and knowledge pool of the team and improve procedures and standards.
  • Provide accurate and effective support to Executives and the team.
  • Assist with the development of new business and the existing portfolio of agents.
  • Contribute to the analysis of client data for presentation to insurers.
  • Monitor the progress of placements to ensure compliance with Group and FCA procedures, regulations, and requirements.
  • Liaise with agents and prepare/populate MRC with appropriate information.
  • Prepare MRC and supporting documentation in accordance with templates and MRC requirements using Websure.
  • Ensure accurate completion of Websure data fields.
  • Oversee and approve client documentation before obtaining authorized signatories.
  • Complete internal processes to obtain Evidence of Cover documentation for signature and invoices.
  • Undertake Account Handling responsibilities and liaise with agents as required.
  • Explain the scope of cover and the terms and conditions of the policy to agents.
  • Negotiate and liaise with Underwriters in placing risks.
  • Maintain a high level of client service and foster/maintain good relationships.
Experience required
  • Over 3 years of previous experience as an Account Handler, with a focus on handling Wholesale Property and casualty risks.
  • A solid understanding of Wholesale business and familiarity with London market processes.
  • Cert CII qualification is highly desirable, or a willingness to progress towards it.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients, underwriters, and team members.
  • Exceptional organisational abilities to manage various tasks and responsibilities efficiently.
