Job Description

About the US Role:Having grown rapidly over the last few years, an opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and talented individual to join our Marketing and Production team for our 2 US shows, Chicago Build and New York Build.Our current portfolio of construction shows organised from the London Office are: Chicago Build, New York Build and London Build.We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic candidate to step in and assist with multiple tasks in preparation for our successful live shows. This will involve generating interest for companies to attend the event (by phone, emails and social media), marketingcampaigns, speaker acquisition, lead generation, client management, social media management, and general promotion to drive registration and sales for the event.Successful candidates will be expected to be able to follow instructions, have a creative flair, and take initiative. Training with departmental managers will be provided.This is an excellent opportunity for any individual looking to be fast-tracked to a senior/management role in the near future.Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently managing multiple inboxes and responding to emails in a timely and professional manner
  • Researching relevant new links to grow our database
  • Collaborating with the team to identify potential speakers and inviting high-level speakers from across the world
  • Cultivating current and building new event partnerships with leading industry bodies, associations and magazines to set up event partnerships
  • Managing and briefing speakers, liaising with speakers in the lead up to the events and establishing strong business relationships
  • Working closely with the marketing team to manage the event agendas and websites, keeping the programmes, marketing collateral and websites up to date
  • Running each event’s Ambassador programme: identifying key leaders within the industry, approaching and providing them with relevant content to promote the show
  • Coordinating and scheduling social media marketing collateral
Requirements:
  • Able to work US hours: 10am - 7pm (BST)
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Flexibility, readiness to perform ad-hoc duties for other departments
  • The ability to work quickly without compromising quality
  • Creativity and passion
  • Experience with social media
  • Experience with Canva - ideal but not essential
  • Communication skills are key since the candidate will be dealing with senior level executives at some of the world’s largest companies by phone, email and through social media
