Job Description

Java Team Lead Salary: Approx. £125,000 + bonus + benefits. 2 days in London office per week (hybrid)Enjoy leading successful Java teams whilst also being hands-on with day-to-day developmentDo you have good understanding of Core Java principlesA North American IT solutions provider working with top tier investment banks and communication companies is searching for a Java Team Lead to join their team as they scale their European HQ from 300 people to 400+ this year. This leading communicationscompliance provider is developing innovative solutions for their clients for email, social media and voice messaging.The Java Team Lead will ideally come from a hands-on software development background. Day to day, 70% of your time will be getting involved in hands-on Java development, design reviews, sprint planning and other Agile artifacts. The remaining 30% will beon the people management side, leading a team of 3-5 highly successful Java Developers and getting involved with 121s, annual appraisals and recruitment.This Java Team Lead opportunity will be a strong fit if you:

  • Have a commercial Java development background
  • Experience leading and managing a team of Developers
  • Enjoy working with microservices architecture
  • Have messaging experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ or MongoDB (not a necessity)
As the Java Team Lead, you will be a strong advocate for modern development ways of working including pair programming, Agile and BDD/TDD. This company is a regular host of tech meetups, hackathons, Pizza Thursdays and there are even a few beer taps in theiroffices!Benefits on offer from this company:
