A London market insurance company is recruiting for someone starting out in their accountancy career to join them as a Finance Assistant.Reporting to the Head of Finance, the successful candidate will support the finance team with the daily finance operations whilst building their knowledge and experience to take on further finance responsibilities over time.This will include (but not limited to) managing the day-to-day transactions on multiple ledgers, posting journals, updating backup schedules e.g. fixed assets, prepayments and accruals, reconciling intercompany accounts, downloading and posting banking entriesin multiple currencies for multiple entities, bank reconciliations and postings, inputting payments for approval, monthly invoicing, credit control and aged debt chasing, resolving invoice queries, reconciling company credit card records and providing ad hocsupport to the Head of Finance and Management Accountant.Applicants will ideally have 1-2 years finance / accounts experience, possess strong excel skills, excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn new things.
