Job Description

Arthur are working with a Lloyds Managing Agent that require a Compliance Officer to join their growing team.Reporting into the Compliance Manager, you will be in a generalist advisory position with a specific focus on financial crime.Main Duties

  • Advising in relation to licensing and financial crime.
  • Acknowledging and advising on all KYC requests from third parties and produce a standard compliance KYC response document.
  • Managingthe review of the daily sanctions alerts via the various screening systems.
  • Contributing towards the execution of the annual risk assessment of every key area’s exposure to and control over financial crime, evaluating their controls and their understanding of the company-wide controls in place, ensuring the follow-up of any recommendations.
  • Helping with theimplementation of any findings arising from the historic financial crime risk assessments.
  • Certifying thatall financial crime training modules remainup-to-date, providing effective training to staff, as required.
  • Aiding in the completion of new licensing applications and renewals of licences acrossall worldwide entities of the business, sustainingrelationships with numerous overseas regulators.
  • Helping the teamwith the completion of the monitoring activities thatmake up the compliance monitoring programme and recognise and aid the implementation ofimprovements to this programme as necessary.
  • Supporting as required and perform tasks requested such as horizon scanning; regulatory returns; compliance projects etc.
Key Skills
  • Impeccableknowledge and experience of the application of UK, EU, USA and UN sanctions in the insurance sector as well as international licensing requirements.
  • Demonstrating a high level of problem solving skills and the application of a risk-based methodology to resolve issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people face to face and over the telephone, Teams etc.
  • Good written communication skillsin order to respond to correspondence in a professional and concise way.
